I am as ugly as I seem
Worse than all your dreams
Could ever make me out to be
And it makes me want to scream
When it´s Halloween
And the kids are laughing
The rogue is a bank he´s never broke
But worth as much as a joke that no one is laughing at

Can you believe some things are not
Appealing and there´s a spot
On the ceiling of my childhood bedroom
And can these dreams you can´t imagine
Will never match the vision
That you had decided for me
You are to take away from me
Things that are mine and it´s not your right
Out that you´d wouldn't expect to find out
Can it be that I don´t want what you want?
And the only thing I could care for
Is a place in a home that is safe and warm
Safe and warm, safe and warm, safe and warm

Judge yourself if you feel the need
Just let me known to be
In search of the truth myself
There is a drop of blood on the ground
And it seems to me that it´s not my kind
And I can´t be sure if it´s yours or mine

I am as ugly as I seem
Worse than all your dreams
Could ever make me
Could ever make me
Could ever make me
Could ever make me

wow, guys, seriously. jack doesnt consider himself ugly, literally or figuratively. the title of the song is "as ugly as i seem" implying that he is indeed as ugly as he seems. and i dont really see him doing any bad things in this song. "the only thing i could care for is a place in a home that is safe and warm." "let me known to be in search of the truth." thats not ugly. infact, thats beautiful and innocent. the point of this song is that jack wants to find love and the girl refuses to believe this. thats why jack says "worse that all ur dreams could ever make me" because her dreams make him out to be a bad guy (the vision that she has decided for him) even though he isnt . so basically hes saying "go on, think wat u want. i let the truth speak for itself" hence "let me known to be in search of the truth"

i still havent figured out the drop of blood on the ground. so if anyone who actually understands this song gets it, let me know.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
