St. Vitus Dance Lyrics
So you think you know what's going on inside her head
You think she wants your money but it's you she wants instead
When you think about the things that she did love to go
It breaks your heart but deep down boy you know it hurts to go
You feel your love so shattering
You feel you want to die
Just because someone did take off
Telling you a lie
If I were you I'd try again and try to make amends
She only thinks of you, you know I'm talking as a friend
You think she wants your money but it's you she wants instead
It breaks your heart but deep down boy you know it hurts to go
You feel you want to die
Just because someone did take off
Telling you a lie
She only thinks of you, you know I'm talking as a friend

Pretty straightforward, about a relationship breaking up because the guy thought the girl was just after his money, but it was true love and it breaks his heart.
Yeah, the meaning is pretty straightforward, but I can't figure out how the title relates at all.
St. Vitus' Dance is a nuerological disorder characterized by jerky, uncontrollable muscle spasms of the arms and/or legs that seem to flow along the limbs and cause it to look almost like one is dancing in place. If anyone can explain the relation between the title and the meaning of the song or the lyrics, I would be grateful.
His heart is diseased (depressed for dumping his true love) and/or he is spazzing out (feeling anxiety) for realizing that he made a mistake by dumping his true love for the wrong reasons (e.g., thinking she was after his money).

@Achory What's interesting to me is that I can think of no relation between the title and the lyrics. But the fast, syncopated rhythm of the music makes me envision a person suffering from St. Vitus' Dance moving to that rhythm.

This song is really underrated, nobody ever mentions it, but it's the best song from Vol. 4 in my opinion.
This doesn't sound like Sabbath, but almost my favorite song from "Vol. 4".
I think that, "St. Vitus' Dance" is almost the best song from the whole album of "Vol. 4" in my opinion.
Sounds like they were trying to make a second Paranoid to me
As for the title, I think it's something like NIB where they just slapped a random name on it. That's the only explanation I can think of.
Lyrics are self-explanatory (relationship trouble), but much like A National Acrobat the song title and lyrics have no clear correlation (outside of perhaps an inside joke by the band).
Vol. 4 album was great with this song, "St. Vitus' Dance."
