See you down on your knees
but I know your beggin' please
Why you still here
So mean to me
So you, you, want to know
but you'll never be with me

How far will you drive (x2)

Tonight I'm gonna be
another catastrophe
better than the first time
So why, why, why'd you go
Your tearing me down so low
I knew you'd be here tonight

How far will you drive (x3)

Everyone is here with me
but there just here to be seen
Maybe I could, watch them bleed
if you werent so fuckin' mean

How far will you drive (x3)

So why, why, why'd you go
Your tearing me down so low
I always knew you'd be here tonight
Can't we get it right
And for once try not to fight

and I could still be bleeding, bleeding, (…)

Watch me get it right

How far will you drive (x2)
How far
How far will you drive

You say it's over (x2)
And I think you believe yourself, when you say

You say it's over (x2)
And I think you believe yourself, when you say

When you say (x4)

I think the person brandin is singing this to, did something bad, and she treated him badly, but now she wnats him back, and he wants to know how far she'll go to make it better(how far will you drive), and all he wants to do is go and forget her, but she's always there, (tonight I'm gonna be a cotastrophe..I knew you'd be here tonight) and then she wants it to be over, but he knows it won't be..I don't know if the bleeding is literal, or just a symbolic bleeding, almost cleansing..and they know it should just be all over, but it never will be..

I saw them live at the House of Blues and this song was one of my favorites they played live. "Everyone is here with me/but there just here to be seen/Maybe I could, watch them bleed/ if you werent so fuckin' mean" seemed to hit harder live. It was brilliant.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
