I Hate The Way You Love

A few years since my comment on this song, I now think its about bad sex. 'I can't get full,' 'you bored me then and now you just bore me some more,' etc. And with 'my words fell into the road' etc I think Alison is saying that she knows she wants to tell this person how awful they are and what she wants to say but can't bring herself to do it maybe? 'My eyes feel spikey and small and I can't get no picture on them at all' - she's finding it hard to think about other things during.

Dunno, I was just listening to it one day and this interpretation seemed to make sense :)

I think the title says it all, I think its about being in a relationship where although the person you're with annoys the fuck outta you, you dont get on so well with them, you cant decide whether to leave "i did not have the heart/ i was losing a button, right from the start".

I think the 'I can't get full' bit is refering to the cant-eat-can't-sleep thing when you're in love. I love this song, Alisons voice is amazing.

I think there are lots of drugs references here. The song is probably about someone giving them up or being made to give them up by a loved one. 'Can't get full' implys 'the munchies' and 'take my shakes' withdrawal. Also if in the song 'The Good Ones' little sisters's eyes are so wide because she's on drugs then 'my eyes are spiky and small' may mean the opposite. However some drugs would constrict your pupils so the whole song could be about the effects of taking drugs taking rather than withdrawal from them.
