Honey I told you
That these things never last
And one of these days now
You`ll start dreaming of the past

When life was once too short for all the things we`d do and the shots we`d call
And endless summer without a fall
When promises were meant to keep
And nighttime wasn`t meant for sleep
A love story at it`s peak

Doesn`t it feel good
To know that you`ve been loved
And doesn`t it make you
Laugh when you think of

The day when we all got lost on the old mans farm
Just trying to get across
It was only then I knew what love was
Sunday mornings that never ended and hangovers that never mended
A love story at it`s peak

I'm surprised this song hasn't been commented yet. It's pretty straightforward what this song is about IMO: It's about young love. It's about how you can love someone when young, but it ends and you move one but you'll always look back at this young love and feel happy in some way.

From the Norwegian film "Monstertorsdag", and the meaning of this song fits the story in the film very well.

It is obvious that the song is about real love. "It was only then I knew what love was". It is something that has happened in the past, but I think that the 'I' person dreams of it, and wants it back.

    Such a beautiful song.

I feel the relationship has changed between them both, and they're both reminiscing back to when they both knew what love was.

My favorite line: "a love story at its peak"

    Beautiful.

    My Interpretation

The way I initially took this song was it being about a relationship and it's ups and downs. How it started beautifully and great, however took an opposite turn to many problems. Kind of a "honey moon syndrome" thing. Where the beginning of the relationship was(is) idealized and romanticized, but where as in now it faces a less than ideal situation. (However it is evident that the love is still there, only with problems where as in before there were not.) It's possible that it could be a lost relationship that was great at the beginning but went a bit problematic and is still thought about, or a current relationship that too went a similar route, or that which might just happen to the current relationship.

OR it can just be a song about a love that is great and beautiful, however leads to the fact that it might die or that it is soon to fall due to it being on its "peak". Kind of a "right now is great but soon it'll probably end or lose it's spark." (Which I actually believe more now).

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
