Emasculate the Masculine Lyrics

This could be the sound of me tearing
into your flesh from a distance
opening fresh wounds
for a peek

And this could be the sound of me breaking
into your room late at night
slitting your throat
and cutting off your dick

'Cause everyone I know
is too comfortable with thier lives
to ever be a part of change

And everyone I know
is leaving for the weekend
with tickets to the game
everybody sounds the same

all dirty
all dirty

One of my favorites - to me it's about being frustrated with mundane life, the routines everyone gets stuck in, as others have said. More specifically though, given the title and reference to cutting off a dick, it's about frustration with masculine or macho behavior and what goes with it (such as enthrallment with sporting events). Peering under the flesh in the first verse I find an analogy for looking beneath the surface, which would then thesis the song as something like, "Without your manhood, are you anything at all?"

I think the lyrics of this song are pretty simple. They're saying that everyone's life is so routine and normal, and describing what it would be like if you were to get murdered at night.

pretty upbeat for such a morbid song, but that makes the unicorns special.

Also, it's showing you, that if you were to get murdered tonight, your tickets to the game are now quite worthless.

pretty much, i think that the song is trying to critique the vapidness and conformity found everywhere around; everyone is concerned about completely trivial issues ie - "tickets to the game" and they don't even think twice about it. the first two paragraphs could be about the desire to rid the world of all of those conformists, "cutting off your dick" linking to the song title, meaning that the aforementioned conformists are the masculine - those who struggle to appear manly/macho, with the process of emasculation representing a yearning to rid these people of their fakeness.

Fun fact: The melody of the song is from a piano instrumental, which was written and recorded by Alden Ginger, (one of the members) I believe.

it's "tickets to their planes"

because i believe this song is about a certain member cough aldencough announcing his homosexuality to his prospective "partner" but he denies his love and says he's not gay, and everyone he knows feel uncomfortable with the whole situation, and they leave for a bit, like out of town. and out of passion he thinks about "slitting your throat, and cutting off your dick" it's mainly about confusion and the human nature of fearing change, or things that are different
