I tried translating this and it doesn't seem to make sense. =P Does the girl want to be a boy? Is she a tomboy? Is she comparing being a boy with being a girl? I think she is saying that if she was boy she's have things so much easier but she's just a small lost girl who is in love with a boy so being a girl is not all that bad, or something... teehee. Anyone got any better ideas? I like this song though. It's fun and catchy. =P Even if it is impossible for me to learn the words. =[ lol

I think you could see this song from both perspectives...
It might be about a guy who appears to be macho on the outside but is really just a "little girl" on the inside - and they would prefer to be like that.
But it's more likely to be about a girl who appears boyish on the outside, but when they're in a relationship they become more feminine.
The song makes even more sense if it is taken to explore one subject's gendered complexity. Regardless of the biological sex of the artist, she is explaining that there are attributes of her personality that can be gendered in 'both' ways. So, if you weigh the maleness and femaleness of one person, what do you end up with in the end? a boy, or a girl? But does using that language really make any sense at all? I am curious as to whether the artist self-identifies as trans, not that she necessarily needs to to make her statement... I really like this song...
