The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
Feels like an earthquake
Just knocked me to the floor
It's so over-rated
To make someone happy anymore
Cause like a gun-shot
There's a hole in your heart
And it's bleeding
And it's bleeding
Corners me to order now
Is the world falling apart
Or is it just breaking down
Is it me, or does it seem like it's turned upside down
Is the world falling apart
Or is it just breaking down
Cause without you I don't see how it keeps spinning round
Feel like a playwright
With a script that makes no sense
The curtain never opens
But the casting call seems such a great success
Like a nosedive
That takes your breath away
But you're still breathing
Still breathing
But is my world falling apart
Or is it just breaking down
Is it me, or does it seem like it's turned upside down
Is the world falling apart
Or is it just breaking down
Cause without you I don't see how it keeps spinning round
Spinning round
Spinning round
It's like I can't see past all this
I am not the same boy that I used to be
Someone tell me please
Drop down to your knees
Put your head to the ground
And tell me, do you feel it shaking now
But is my world falling apart
Or is it just breaking down
Is it me, or does it seem like it's turned upside down
Is the world falling apart
Or is it just breaking down
Because without you I don't see how it keeps spinning round
(World Falling Apart)
No without you I don't see how it keeps spinning round
(World Falling Apart)
Without you I don't see

no one's commented???? this song just rules! it's pretty self explainitory "It's so over-rated To make someone happy anymore " true, true.
This probably won't be answered because no one's looked at this song since December, but what album is this on? I have them all and this dosen't sound like a BFS song, at all. Just curious.

it's probably because the actual title is supposed to be "World Falling Apart". (no s)
