Devil Woman (Cliff Richard cover) Lyrics
1. Devil Woman
[Originally performed by Cliff Richards]
I've had nothing but bad luck
Since the day I saw the cat at my door
So I came here to you sweet lady
Answering your mystical call
Crystal ball on the table
Showing the future the past
Same cat with them evil eyes
And I know it was a spell she'd cast
She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman she's gonna get you
She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman
She's gonna get you from behind
Give me the ring on your finger
Let me see the lines of your hand
I can see me a tall dark stranger
Giving you what you hadn't planned
I drank the potion she offered me
I found myself on the floor
Then I locked in those big green eyes
And I wondered what I came there for
She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman she's gonna get you
She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman
She's gonna get you from behind
Stay awake look out
If you're out on a moonlit night
Be careful of the neighborhood strays
Of a lady with long black hair
Tryin' to win you with her feminine ways
Crystal ball on the table showing the future the past
Same cat with them evil eyes you'd better get out oh there fast
She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman she's gonna get you
She's just a devil woman with evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman she's gonna get you ...

im not to keen on this song... heh...
this is a great song by cradle one of my favorites... isnt king diamond in this?
This song is so surreal! Who would've thought that Cradle would cover a song by Cliff Richard! I love the way they loop his voice into the chorus. Really wierd! Anyway, this cover is soooo amazing. My parents are Cliff Richard fans, and so I couldn't resist blasting this at them!!! They were not amused!!!
This song is pretty self explanitory, so there is no need for an interperatation!!! Beauty, Satanism, Brilliant!
It's not Satanism, you weird-o! Hahahaha. All those old songs were never about real Satanism or witchcraft like the songs of today are and when they do mention the devil or witches or whatever, it means they were mystical and dark. This song leads me to imagine that the "devil woman" is a gypsy fortune-teller lady with a black cat as a pet. She isn't Satan or anything like that. She's just some strange spooky lady he meets and who puts a spell on him to seduce him. I love this song. My boyfriend and I downloaded it on a random Cradle of Filth sprea and I liked it. It's really awesome. I've never heard the original.
hah hah... i love the synth... 80's 90's hair bands... lma
o
Devilslittle.... have you ever actually heard a Cliff Richard song. They are riddled with referances to the devil. He is a devaut christian who loves rock & roll. Many of his songs are about Lucifer, Why Should The Devil Have all The Good Music, and his version of The Lords Prayer ( The Millenium Prayer ) Of course this song is about a Satanist. It may be about a Gypsey fortune teller, but he sees those people as satanic. And as you said, you've never heard the original.
I don't even like COF or Cliff Richard, but this is without a doubt the greatest cover I've ever heard!
I love this song, especially the verses!Ι agree,it's about a gypsy fortune-teller who seduces him using witchcraft. He is her victim,he cannot resist her evil "mystical call" and her charm.I have to admit, though, that I haven't heard the original yet.
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA IM LISTNEING TO THE ORIGINAL... AHAHAHA OMFG Their are fucking talented for making this GOOD
