and i love how the overall flow of the song is pretty slowwwwwwwwww and smoooooooooth but the drummers going insanely fast

I believe that this song is actually talking about a relationship.

A person that is afraid in what might happen, or what will come out of it.

This person has known that their friend has been speaking to them, but hasn't listened to what they mean.

And even if you were to look back, be sure and find out who was there; implies that their friend needs to remember what who they were when they were on the finding of something, either love or whatever they were trying to find.

this isnt EXACTLY what he says...he adds in some of the same lines after each verse and chorus. This is right from the book copied word for word. This is personally one of my favorite songs on this album (not saying that all the others are AMAZING!!) and i think there is a lot of hidden things in his lyrics. I personally wish i could get into this guys' mind!!
