Ether Sings Lyrics
Sing me your lover’s song
Come with me we’ll head up north
Where the rivers run icy and strong
The empty theater is lying cold
In the shadows of the past
A church group enters to touch the molding
With a burst of song and a simple repast
Guitars can’t help but sing
Can’t help but ring
A tiny little flute is whistling in the lips
Of a stranger on the corner
A tiny little girl ties flowers to her wrists
And the bees come round to adorn her
All the time spent dreaming is never lost
Dreams come back through the bells of trumpeting horns
Souls lost into the ether of death
Come back wise in the eyes and the arms of newborns
Hearts can’t help but sing
Can’t help but ring
Come with me we’ll head up north
Where the rivers run icy and strong
In the shadows of the past
A church group enters to touch the molding
With a burst of song and a simple repast
Can’t help but ring
Of a stranger on the corner
A tiny little girl ties flowers to her wrists
And the bees come round to adorn her
Dreams come back through the bells of trumpeting horns
Souls lost into the ether of death
Come back wise in the eyes and the arms of newborns
Can’t help but ring

I'm not sure if I have a definite meaning for this song in my mind yet but the theme of rebirth is all through this song. Things once dead finding new life. Even things thought useless becoming catalysts of creation.
It is a melancholic song at first glance. Images such as "rivers run icy and strong", "empty theater is lying cold", "a stranger on the corner" and "souls lost into the ether of death" create a tinge of sadness with a sense of indifference. I also get a feeling that this cold place does not exist as it is where "Dreams come back through the bells" and "wise in the eyes and the arms of new borns". To a certain degree, I think that this is a song about meditation and being somewhere else spiritually in where you begin to see the world with a new perspective and a hopeful mind at the same time.
"Hearts can't help but sing Can't help but ring"
To me these two lines are about what happens to one's state of mind when he or she spiritually enters into a zone which doesn't exist on earth. "T
