Harry, it's good of you to stay
Hear every word I say
And not just duck away
God, these drinks are something warm and watered down
Barkeep, how 'bout some ice
Hey, Harry sit back down
Say, that little thing there's fine from behind
They all look good after three or four,
So drink Harry, drink Harry,
Drink 'til you can't see no more
of anything, no more of anything
Drink Harry, drink Harry, drink 'til you can't see no more
For months, for years,
Tits were once a source of fun and games at home
And now she says, tits are only there to feed our little Joe
So that he'll grow
Harry, it's really rough at home
I've caught her on the phone
Hey, who's that on the phone?
Oh, that's no one dear,
The standard sort of line
Harry, you know me well,
You know that I'm not blind
Hey, you ain't been drinking
Don't you know I'm buying?
They all taste good after three or four
So drink Harry, drink Harry, drink 'til you can't drink no more
of anything, no more of anything
Drink Harry, drink 'til you can't drink no more
How well I know
Tits were only there for fun and games at home
And now she says, tits are only there to feed our little Joe
So that he'll grow
God, the room is spinning round
Hey, drive me home old pal
God, you sure get around
Harry, I know it's you who's breaking up my home
Harry, don't say a word, just drop me off at home
Harry, forgive me Harry, let's have just one more
It's all so good after three or four
It's all so good after three or four
It's all so good after three or four
So let's drink Harry, drink 'til we can't drink no more
of anything, no more of anything
Drink Harry, drink Harry, drink 'til we can't drink no more
How well I know
Tits were once a source of fun and games at home
And now she says, tits are only there to feed our little Joe
So that he'll grow into a man
So let's drink Harry, drink 'til we can't see no more
Hear every word I say
And not just duck away
Barkeep, how 'bout some ice

I don't believe it's just about being drunk and silly
Look at this line: "Tits were only there for fun and games at home And now she says, tits are only there to feed our little Joe" The couple used to have a healthy relationship, there were fun and games (with tits apparently) but now that little baby Joe is in the picture she doesn't care for fun and games anymore. The couple parted and resulted in the sad scenario of an alcoholic husband and a cheating wife. It's quite a sad song, in that Sparks-sort of way ;)
What Triggerfit said. It's about parenting and its effect on a marriage.
The inebriated gentleman is telling his buddy that he and his wife had a great sex life until the birth of their son. Now that they have a baby son, the wife has become all "Mommy" and no "love partner"
fun song. haha
It's a fun song about a drunk guy and his friend and the drunk guys wife is cheating on him, or so he thinks. I reckon its just about being drunk and silly.
Nirvana In Mystic's response is so hilariously out of touch with the lyrics. That's not a diss or anything, it made me laugh hard.

RevAndroid has it right but I always wondered if there's more, especially considering the bitterness that pervades the whole Indiscreet album this comes from: Why does he want Harry to keep drinking. He knows Harry is cheating with his wife, could he be poisoning the drinks?
I agree with many of the previous comments - an alcoholic husband who finds out his wife is cheating on him.
Over the hundreds of times I've listened to this song, I go back and forth before thinking that Harry is in fact the person the wife is cheating with, to thinking that the narrator is just accusing Harry while in a drunken stupor, but really doesn't think Harry is involved.
I don't think the narrator is poisoning Harry! I think the narrator is just happier getting and being drunk with his friend, and dreads going back home, to where things are so different since the birth of their child. So the narrator just wants to keep drinking, until they can't drink any more.....
lmao. I don't even get the point of the songs. It's just about tits.
