I love you more than I should
So much more than is good for me
More than is good

Oh the timing is cruel
Oh I need and don't want to need
More than I should

I am falling, say my name
And I'll lie in the sound
What is love, but whatever
My heart needs around

Oh my sheet is so thin
So I say I can't sleep because
It's so very cold

Oh but I know what I need
And if you were just near to me
Would you go

I am falling, say my name
And I'll lie in the sound
What is love, but whatever
My heart needs around

I am falling, say my name
And I'll lie in the sound
What is love, but whatever
My heart needs around

And it needs you too much now

    Song Meaning

This song is about a girl who is so deeply in love with someone and she can't controll her feelings. Apparently as she says "the timing is cruel, I need, and i don't want to need" She dosn't know how to go about this feeling, cause obviously this guy isn't available. She thinks she sees her soulmate in him but she wonders what love is because she feels this pain and she dosn' think love should be like this but because seh can't have him it is. She feels like she falling/fading away and she needs to hear him say her name and she will lie to herself in the sound of his voice bretending he's hers, she says her sheet is so thin meaning that whats covering how she feels is right below the surface and isn't buried deep. Worries the fact that she couldn't bear to loose him. After all some people say its better to not have something at all rather than to loose it but i think you have to enjoy the good part and deal with the bad afterwords. She explains that she needs him too much to loose him

I absolutely love this song and in my opinion it is about a girl, who has found her true love and as we can only experience love once in a lifetime, she's taken aback by a sudden strong feeling she has, hence I love you more than I should line. However, he doesn't know her/they're not together yet, so "the timing is cruel". Also, I see it as if his far away at the moment, thus making it impossible for him to meet her, fall for her and be together forever. Therefore she's wondering "And if you were just near to me Would you go?". She knows he is the one and that they're meant to be, but having to wait for that hurts her. She is so desperately in love with him, that she wants him now. That's just my take on this song, and yes, it's quite optimistic, because I do believe in true love and I don't think it's a heartbreak song. It's about how waiting hurts so much. And don't we all need to wait and be patient to meet our true love? Up until then we're not living, we're just killing time (paraphrasing Radiohead). <3

I love the way the song seems to blanket you when you listen to it and when you listen to her voice you can't help but be swept up in her torrent of sorrow. Breath taking.

She has obviously fallen deeply in love but in the beginning of the song she says that the timing is cruel. Cruel to who? Maybe her. Maybe someone she is already seeing when she wishes she could be with this person. This song has that haunting quality that usually accompanies stories of forbidden love. For one reason or another, this love is certainly forbidden which deepens it even more for her. It makes her question what love is because she knows this feeling isn't good. This deep, obsessive love is just a chemical reaction which is likened to the sensation of falling. She feels so out of control in this love that all she wants is for him to say her name. Perhaps she wants to know if this is real. She also wants to know, "if you were just near to me, would you go?" She fears that this person may be the one for her but this tells me she hasn't been involved with him yet because she doesn't know if he would leave her.
I could be totally off but I feel as though I have experienced this same feeling when I was dating someone but another person came along that made me question everything. It is truely haunting. This is by far one of my favorite songs.

my friend gave me the ONE TREE HILL SOUNDTRACK today, though i have never seen an episode of OTH, she loves it... i love music, and this is the last on the album...

it totally completes it; and it bascially states that 'i need your love desperately'

i am in love with this song now... it's so beautifully sang and written, etc...

plus, the name of the band... Trespassers William- who couldn't like a name that's from classic winnie the pooh? haha... good times...

I love this song so much, i love how breathless she sounds at times

"oh, my sheet is so thin so I say I can't sleep because it's so very cold but I know what I need..."

man, that makes my heart ache.

This is one of my favorite songs. Very depressing and sorrowful.

I like the chorus the most. There is a double meaning you can derive from the word "lie" in the "lie in the sound" line. You can either take it as meaning the person will comfort themselves by "lying down" in the sound of their name being said; or you can take it as they are telling a lie to the themselves, knowing they are too needy for love.

This is my favorite song ever. It is so beautiful. I can listen to it over, and over, and over and not get tired of it. Her voice is AMAZING. "I love you more than I should so much more than is good for me" That is my favorite line, perfect begining. Who hasn't felt that way? That point when you love someone so much that you're afraid it's going to get dangerous for your heart..

    SO GOOD 10/10!!

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
