Awesome song. These lyrics are easy to understand, but so true nonetheless. I LOVE traveling and I can easily relate to what he's saying. It enriches your life like nothing else can. The more of the world you see, the more interesting people you'll meet, the wiser you'll be, and the more you'll feel at home no matter where you are.

this song reminds me of my dad..

i hope that life is like this for the universal traveller. this song is just placing someone in the world of this universal traveller and how most people would love to one.

great song :) Its def about loving to travel.. I almost feel like traveling when i listen to it. see new places and meet new people.. its the best!

I definitely think this song about heroin. Think about "I follow the sun with my silver plane" is like heating it on the spoon. And "Everything is white, it's so wonderful" would describe how your mind is often a blank when you're on heroin. Also, heroin makes you feel like you're everywhere at once, so feeling like a universal traveler would make sense. I know it makes no sense for Air to release such a song, but you have to admit that some of my interpretation makes sense.

Until I read the lyrics here, I thought the singer was repeating "You need a soul traveler".

If I had to choose one song to describe my soul, this would be it... most days.
