well we're waitin agian, throwin thumbs on the side of the road.
ever wonderin ever feelin, tracin lines that noone knows,
well we're waitin agian, side by side and tail to nose
salty breese is finally blowin, hef and haze are chargin marvioso

so let the wind be apon your back
and if there's sun let it shine on your face
and let the rains rip across your path providin swell to last all your days.

pablo please what will we do, now we're finally off the leash.
roster's tail what simply can i loose
findin fisht before the feast.

some times you gona chase them down just to let em go
sometimes you gona run and run em dow jsut to let em go
sometiems its not that you know

well we're waitin here again, throwin thumbs on the side of the road
ever wonderin ever feelin tracin lines that noone knows.

I love this song...so chill, so braddigan. The chorus is so awesome, a slight variation of the blessing. Gotta love it.

yeah i agree, its so braddigan. i guess it makes it a little easier to deal with the dispatch break up since braddigan is writing all these awesome songs on his own (i still wish they were together though!!) i actually first heard this song right after i got back from a trip to costa rica, which i think is where he wrote it, and its such an awesome song it made me want to go back. i love the guitar and harmonica mix in the beginning. also have you seen the music video? its on his website, its a cool video. if you havent seen it you should check it out. good stuff.

i got to see braddigan live in chicago at schubas tavern. his live music experience of this song is so much better than the recording. when i heard him play the opening chords i got the chills, it was so awesome. reinaldo dejesus, the percussionist for braddigan worked so hard, and did a fantastic job. i got to meet him afterward. if braddigan and rei ever come back, i'm definately goin' to see em again. i absolutely love these guys.

yeah, i've seen the music video. Great one : ) i think it was written in costa rica, he's written a few there. "fallin'" was another one,i think. i know what you mean about the dispatch break up...sucks. hopefully they'll get back together? at least once more? for the elias fund or something...

i can't wait to see brad live. i got an email from him a couple of weeks, and he wants to come down here (uni. of florida) and play for us sometime. :) i can't wait...i've got a bunch of his live stuff from basecamp and etzel and such...great stuff. much better live, even though the cd is awesome.

yeah i was at that same show (as veritas at aequitas) it was amazing. that drummer kicked ass, both of them were dripping with sweat afterwords because of how hard they were jamming. the opening band was pretty good too, the music wasnt as amazing but their performnace was pretty funny.

i was listening to this song, and i thought the following sounded familiar:

so let the wind be apon your back and if there's sun let it shine on your face and let the rains rip across your path providin swell to last all your days.

i realized what it reminded me of: at my grandmother's funeral, the irish blessing was read which goes as follows..

may the roads rise to meet you may the winds be always at your back may the sun shine warm upon your face the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again may God hold you in the hollow of His hands

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
