What You Deserve Lyrics
Failing
And unsure
Why am I losing my nerve
Wasting
My time
Why do I only see this through the hurt
I can't get it out of my head
I can't get it out that
[chorus]
I do this to myself
Me and no one else around me
Tell me how to break free
I'm to blame
And that's what really hurts
That's what really hurts
You get what you deserve
Jaded
And broken
Out of place waiting my turn
Guilty
Fractured
And like you I don't know the answer
[chorus]
I can't get it out of my head
I can't get it out of my head
I heard the words you said to me
I can't get it out of my head
I can't get it out of my head
I heard the words you said to me
And unsure
Why am I losing my nerve
Wasting
My time
Why do I only see this through the hurt
I can't get it out that
I do this to myself
Me and no one else around me
Tell me how to break free
I'm to blame
And that's what really hurts
That's what really hurts
You get what you deserve
And broken
Out of place waiting my turn
Guilty
Fractured
And like you I don't know the answer
I can't get it out of my head
I heard the words you said to me
I can't get it out of my head
I can't get it out of my head
I heard the words you said to me

Awesome song. One of the best on the cd.
"I do this to myself,me and no one else,SO HELP ME,tell me how to break free.....
"I do this to myself,me and no one else,SO HELP ME,tell me how to break free.....
I'm probably just stating the obvious, but...
This is about the singer making a mistake and paying for it. It hurts even more to go through it, because there's no one else to blame. It's all his fault. When he says "you get what you deserve," he's talking about people in general, I think. Simple song, but I love it.
this song is about the mistakes he/she made in the past and regret them and get/already gotten what they deserve for what the mistake was
I listen to this song alot... :P Anyways, for me it's about being really hard on yourself. "I do this to myself, me and no one else" He's nice to the rest of the world, but he is always finding a fault with himself.
