To me this song is about wanting to get back together with an ex...still being in love with them.

Yeah, Tegan and Sara are twin sisters. What has that to do with their sexual orientation? They're not dating each other or anything, ya know... Both of them have repeatedly stated the fact that they're gay, just so you know. Also it's easy to tell from their lyrics. (And OMG, are those girls wicked hot, or what?! Drool)
