Black Fire Lyrics
We come from...
Over the dark horizon sky
With twisted tales of sacrifice
To imagine or believe all the glory of the free
Hunting all day an endless cry
The things I've seen I can't deny
Sinners, saints all mixed in one
The dawn of time has begun
Why can't you see what they're doing to me
Is it fair that I'm dying in vain
Once in a land of sacrifice now only valleys of demise
Shadows of a pale blue moonlight ride the waves of entity
Why can't you see what they're doing to thee
Is it fair that you all die in vain
Ride with the steel and the power of the sword
Stand up and fight now and forever more
Rise through the night sky with daylight's desire
To be free there must be black fire
Through the day and through the night with dragons heart the warrior strikes
This is the day that they'll be known as my enemy
Why can't you see what they're doing
To what we believe in we rise through the pain
Ride with the steel and the power of the sword
Stand up and fight now and forever more
Rise through the night sky with daylight's desire
To be free there must be black fire
We come from distant lands we travel so far
Can you see the bleeding scar
The prizes of life we fail to win
Cause we doubt the power within
Why can't you see what they're doing to
What we believe in we rise through the pain
Ride with the steel and the power of the sword
Stand up and fight now and forever more
Rise through the night sky with daylight's desire
To be free there must be black fire
Black fire...
Over the dark horizon sky
With twisted tales of sacrifice
To imagine or believe all the glory of the free
The things I've seen I can't deny
Sinners, saints all mixed in one
The dawn of time has begun
Is it fair that I'm dying in vain
Shadows of a pale blue moonlight ride the waves of entity
Is it fair that you all die in vain
Stand up and fight now and forever more
Rise through the night sky with daylight's desire
To be free there must be black fire
This is the day that they'll be known as my enemy
To what we believe in we rise through the pain
Stand up and fight now and forever more
Rise through the night sky with daylight's desire
To be free there must be black fire
Can you see the bleeding scar
The prizes of life we fail to win
Cause we doubt the power within
What we believe in we rise through the pain
Stand up and fight now and forever more
Rise through the night sky with daylight's desire
To be free there must be black fire

It's like every Dragonforce song, epic, and heroic, and all those good things. I love it!
I see Black Fire as a metaphor of what's hard. For example, asking a girl out for the first time would be 'black fire', as they put. The song is about doing what you think should be done, and not being afraid to express yourself. The other message in this song is "to be strong". 'Ride with the steel and the power of the sword, stand up and fight now and forever more. Ride through the night sky with daylight's desire, to be free it must be black fire'. This line is clearly saying: "Do what you think you should, always be strong, work to get what you want, and if you want what you truly desire, you must face pressure (or 'black fire').
OKAY, NEWBIES TO FANTASY METAL
this isnt about asking outa girl, its LITERALLY about slaying shit with swords and the like
^^^what darkwolf112 said. Asking out a girl for the first time was a horrible example, Aniland.
You come to songmeanings.net to say the lyrics are literal? Whatever floats your boat, man.
I see him talking about armed rebellion: "Stand up and fight now."
"This is the day that they'll be known as my enemy" - no longer will he tolerate the injustice.
The black fire is collateral damage, and the violent change to the status quo that comes from something like an armed rebellion. Is that the same as overcoming fear to ask a girl out? I don't know. I see it as closer to standing up for yourself, and not just dying without fighting. After all - is that really fair?
well i have to agree with darkwolf, these are real power metal lyrics wih doesnt really mean that much. its simply all about warriors and dragons and battles and all that stuff
i wouldnt seek too much meaning in any of their songs.
this song is so fucking good if I could I'd have sex with it. I would agree with darkwolf that it isnt a metaphor. I'd say that black fire is like people dying. So hes saying if were gunna be free some people must die. If that makes any sense, i duno
I mean, some power metal is about love and stuff(see stratovarius). On another note, IM SO EXCITED DRAGONFORCE TONIGHT
once u read the rest of DF's lyrics you will realize there is no deep meaning to the song, all their songs are based fantasitcal motifs such as dragons and war
BLACKK FIREE!!!!!!
