Natale's Song Lyrics
I'm in the wars
Can't speak for crying
Close all the doors
Since I am dying
Pick up the phone
Attempt to call her
I'm all alone
Until she answers
Momentarily she brings peace to me
Momentarily she brings peace to me
She barely speaks
But I hear her breathing
That's all I need
Someone who's listening
And still she stays
Her time is precious
Until I am safe
She gives her presence
Momentarily she brings peace to me
Momentarily she brings peace to me
Momentarily she brings peace to me
Momentarily she brings peace to me
Can't speak for crying
Close all the doors
Since I am dying
Pick up the phone
Attempt to call her
I'm all alone
Until she answers
Momentarily she brings peace to me
But I hear her breathing
That's all I need
Someone who's listening
And still she stays
Her time is precious
Until I am safe
She gives her presence
Momentarily she brings peace to me
Momentarily she brings peace to me
Momentarily she brings peace to me

It's about her best friend, Natale.
brilliant
I listened to this song just after a family member died. I think it's more of a spiritual visit, maybe justmy spin on it at the time but lines like "She barely speaks, but I hear her breathing" and "Until I'm safe, She gives her presence" and "Momentarily, she brings peace to me" just seem very much like a figure of sanctuary coming to her.
When she was a teenager, Sia used to bully a girl called Natale. Now she regrets everything that she's done to her and feels very sorry. She tried to contact Natale, but she didn't find any trace of her, so she wrote all of her feelings in this song for her. Sia hopes that Natale is now OK and that she has healed from all the complexes Sia had caused to her.
After I've read these lyrics I understood that the situation with Sia bullying Natale was really serious...
This song often makes me cry, Sia is so... desperate... I love her a lot and I hope that one day she'll hear from Natale.
but PLEASE can someone delete the BUTTERFLY lyrics...
I think this song is about needing someone to listen and, and usually when someone listens to your problems you feel more at ease. and relief.
This could be a song about lesbians, she's in love with another girl or about a best friend. Just someone that helps her and all she needs is her presence.
I keep thinking in the chorus the lyrics are "mum and dad! please... she brings peace to me" Like someone said lesbian themed. Pleading that her parents understand she needs her to feel better in her life.
Sia is a recovering drug addict, so I'm pretty sure this is about her relationship with her sponsor.
Mary Jane is the lady on the other end of the phone.
I hate saying drugs are being referenced in a song, but this is the only thing that makes sense to me.
It's such an awesome song.
My favorite line: "But I hear her breathing/That's all I need."
