Obviously the person feels very small to whoever, or whatever he's singing about... but "my roots are strong and deep" means he's very content and OK with it.

i feel like this song is about nature or the idea of god, one of the two.

Very emotive vocal delivery and a direct poignancy in the relationship of the piano, guitar and drums. A truly beautiful song.

Seems like this is directed towards nature or a God. I think Phil is just imagining what it's like to be something besides a human in this world. Something we will arguably never be able to comprehend or understand.
