Beautiful Insane Lyrics

Calling all the dreamers hello, hello
they don't need us anymore
They've got us all in chains now hello, hello
gonna keep us all in store
and get machines to do it all
They don't need people any more
like you and me

Calling all the breeders hello, hello
they don't need us anymore
They've got us all in chains now hello, hello
gonna keep us all in store
and get machines to do it all
They don't need people anymore
like you and me

I never said I was a man with a mission
I never cared, no I never cared at all
I never wanted to be anyone's magician
now I am and that's the way it's gonna be

I never said I was a man with a mission
I never cared, no I never cared at all
I never wanted to be anyone's magician
now I am and that's the way
That's the way
The way It's gonna be

This song must be a b-side or something cus it’s incredibly hard to find and doesn’t really sound anything like the rest of their music. Really it sounds more like Radiohead than anything else. As far I can tell, the lyrics have something to do with the progression of technology in the postmodern world. I don’t know why the narrator of this song feels he has to be ‘everyone’s magician’. Maybe it’s specifically about how technology is changing the face of music. People who can’t really sing can be made to sound like they can because of new production tools. (Sugar Ray, Brittany Spears, Avril Lavigne) If this climate furthers, music will have more to do with style than music, more symbolism than substance. Maybe he is saying he feels responsible to carry the torch for real talent in the music world. Your guess is as good as mine. Unless, of course, you can find some interviews. :-)
