The most painful feeling in the world is when someone that you love so much, someone that is closer to you than anyone in the world, suddenly stops caring. Then you see them out somewhere, and they won't even look at you. You still care about them so much and wish things could be like they once were, but you can't even get them to say hi to you. At that moment you realize the person you never thought could hurt you just did. It just sweeps the rug out from under your feet.
He dumped her. She was upset and cried, and told him how she'll never go on, but that just drove him further away, to be latched onto so tightly.
