Hanging Moon Lyrics

i keep paying
when you keep taking
please stop running
and just start living
me without you
i have learned to live without your light
that burned so bright
you are half the heart and half the will
hanging moon
haunting you
hanging moon
be my light in this world of darkness

kinda poetic? the vocal kind of reminds me of a more hardcore version of this other band called the cougars.

"i keep paying when you keep taking please stop running and just start living"

basically, how the guy/girl feels like as if s/he is the only one who contributes to the relationship, you can take it literally and just think about giving money and things (after all, things cost money) to the other person, but the person just won't pay them back. it can also be something intangible - like love. it doesn't have to be g/bf kind of relationship, cos this problem is common in all types of relationships. this goes for the rest of the song as well - trying to break away from this person despite the fact that this person must have been of significance because of s/he is given the attribute of a moon and how it provides light in darkness,

The moon provides bright light in darkness to keep the protagonist awake at night. Beeing awake gives strenght and artistic potential to the protagonist but he doesn't want that anymore, he wants to start living and stop running.
