the whole song pretty much makes sense with these lines:
my demon and her ring
through using discourses of racing, driving quickly and all that, i think that converge illustrates about how one tries to get out of situations? it sounds kinda emo-ish, like trophy scars are always writing lyrics about trying to get away out of situations, but the last half of the lyrics are more intense like:

and
i can outrun i will outrun you all
I think this is just fucking amazing, everything about these lyrics, and the song. its rediculous. to me its about getting away from those that have hurt and forgetting about them, and searching for someone that wont.
This band is harder to understand than Alexisonfire, I can even understand them now. But this song is pretty much means what TheMarchOfFlames said.
On the video recorded at Hellfest Jacob Bannon introduces it "..This song's about bad luck, which we all have. It's about the black cloud that follows me and follows you.." So with that in mind, the bit about "her ring" may be about a personification of his bad luck that he's "married" to, ie stuck with for life but trying to escape. ...or not, i dunno
Jacob Bannon writes such fucking amazing lyrics, it's kinda irritating that you can't really hear them properly, his voice does sound kinda cool, but it would be better if you could hear every word. And he never punctuates the best lines, like "I will outrun you all" should be screamed really clearly. I know I'm just nit picking and I know it sounds great as it is and it's not my place to say, I just thought I would anyway :) Converge fucking own though
It's already been explained, but when i saw them live he mentioned it's about personal demons "which we all have" such as drug addiction or whatever. I see this song as motivation to keep pushing past whatever negatives from your past haunt you.
Life takes a shit on you and you know what Jacob Bannon does? He growls away the hurt and keeps pushing on. Ever tried growling this stuff? Whenever I'm at a low it's Converge that gets played. Nose burns, tears fill, then it's over. I'm re-aligned in a matter of a minute.
I agree with ericwastaken. If things haven't been going well for me, I listen to Converge. Their music is the light in my darkest of days. With that being said, this is a fucking awesome song. I will outrun you all!
