Nothing Else Matters (Metallica cover)

seems to be about how you should just trust in your self and do what u think to be right and it shouldnt matter what other ppl say because u feel what ur doing is right, something like that.

This song is actually a cover song they did live on MTV icon in tribute of Metallica. The song was written when the band (Metallica) was on the road, and thats basically what it is about...their thoughts while they were on the road.

when i submitted this song i did include (metallica cover) but for some reason it doesnt appear so. o well doesnt really matter.

i would proly agree with you on alot of bands being posers, but Staind is most definately not a poser band, Aaron sings straight from his heart. just cuz he covered a song by Metallica doesnt make them posers, to Aaron this song proly has a true meaning to himself. and most bands do alter lyrics a little when they do a cover. now i agree with u on Fred, he needs to just quit making music and go home.

Hey metallibanger05! I am a long time Metallica fan who also happens to love Staind. They are far from being posers (unlike Fred -who shoulda stopped singing when he started- Dirst).

Aaron's cover is, in my opionion, a much better version than Metallica's original. First off, becuase it's got more emotion to it, sencere heartfelt emotion. And I kinda like the whole style of it -slower much, more drawn out.

dude?!?!?!? look, I like both bands too, but there is no way IN HELL that you can even compare Metallica to Staind, let alone say that staind's cover of one of Metallica's best ever songs is better than the original!!! I mean, seriously...

yup i agree with you darnoc! taking anathor bands song and singing it your style is fine but its never better than the original. nothing else matters by metallica is my absolute favorite song, and all bands are uncomparable with metallica on this song. on all songs. MetallicA rocks...

Don't be so naive, Aaron doesn't sing from the heart. I don't know what to think of Staind anymore. I mean, a lot of his songs speak a lot of truths and injustices, but a lot of his songs look like they've been written by the record company themselves.

Staind's cover was by far the best of the day.

Unfortunately, Metallica was covered by Avril Lavigne, Snoop Dogg, Korn, Sum 41, and Limp Bizkit... don't even get me started about that... I'll just get mad...

James Hetfield's voice isn't exactly "emotional" in the way that Nothing Else Matters portrays. This would be why Aaron vocals might sound better than Hetfield's.

But...

There is no substitute for the original, especially when the band that released this song is so far superior to Staind.

Perhaps if Pantera or a band like it covered this song, then you might be able to say, "better than the original."

It'd be like saying that a cover of Master of Puppets by Linkin Park is better than Metallica's... not happening.

well i give my vote to the original version by metallica i think its much better and to the person who said that a cover couldn't be better than the original have you heard Nirvanas cover of the man who sold the world because that is 100% better than DBs original thats just IMO nah its FACT haha
