So tight, so fly
You got me lifted, you got me lifted

You got me lifted, shifted higher than the ceilin'
And ooh-wee, it's the ultimate feelin'
You got me lifted, feeling so gifted

Sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?

You know it's leather when we ride
Woodgrain and raw hide
Doing what we do, watchin' screens, gettin' high
Girl, you keep it so fly with your sweet honey buns
You was there when the money gone
You'll be there when the money comes

Off top, I can't lie, I love to get blowed
You're my lil' sugar, I'm your little chulo
And every time we kick it, it's off to the groovy
Treat you like my sticky icky or my sweet ooh-wee, gooey (for real though)

You got me lifted, shifted higher than the ceilin'
And ooh-wee, it's the ultimate feelin'
You got me lifted, feeling so gifted

Sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?

Now I ain't worried about a thang 'cause I just hit me a lick
I got a fat sack and a super fly chick
And uh-uh, there ain't nothin' you can say to a player
'Cause doo-wop, she fly like the planes in the air
That's right, she full grown, settin' the wrong tone
I'm diggin' the energy and I'm lovin' her ozone
So fly like a dove, fly like a raven
Quick to politic with some fly conversation
In a natural mood, then I'm a natural dude
And we some natural fools, blowin' out by the pool
She like my sexy cool mama, we'll blaze on the Barada
Rockin' Dolce & Gabbana, hydro in a Cubana

You got me lifted, shifted higher than the ceilin'
And ooh-wee, it's the ultimate feelin'
You got me lifted, feeling so gifted

Sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?

You know it's leather when we ride
Woodgrain and raw hide
Doing what we do, watchin' screens, gettin' high
Girl, you keep it so fly with your sweet honey buns
You was there when the money gone
You'll be there when the money comes

You know it's leather when we ride
Woodgrain and raw hide
Doing what we do, watchin' screens, gettin' high
Girl, you keep it so fly with your sweet honey buns
You was there when the money gone
You'll be there when the money comes (for real though)

You got me lifted, shifted higher than the ceilin'
And ooh-wee, it's the ultimate feelin'
You got me lifted, feeling so gifted

Sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?
Sugar, sugar, how you get so fly?

So high, like I'm a star
So high, like I'm a star
So high, like I'm a star
So high, like I'm a star

I get so much shit cause this is my favourite song has been for almost a year. I duno why, i just love the music in it. And the chorus. But the guitar, its really kind of sweet sounding. I used to just listen to it over and over in summer so now everytime i hear it, it reminds me of my m8s and summer and smells and stuff its good. I love it.

At first I was skeptical about it being about drugs, but now that I look at the lyrics, It's definately possible.

I think he could also be talking about a girl who's stuck by his side through everything..

This song is not about drugs ... wlel not directly at least, what hes trying to say is that the there is a girl that makes him alive or like he's flying... which can also be done with drugs ... so its saying that he feels that with her

This song makes referance to drugs, girls and sex.

I think to be honest that it has everything to do with a girl. using the referance to drugs to explain how he is addicted to the girl because in the music video itself, its focus is on the girl not on weed or drugs. It focuses more on his girl.

I didnt think it had anything to do with drugs when I first anaylised the song, but I knew it was describing a girls love for a guy... (:

It is about Coke, no doubt. Sugar is a street name for coke and there are about a million other references to coke in this song, see my entry under the artist "Baby Beesh" for more.

I think it could be about both, because before Baby Bash made it big he rapped with SPM, and alot of their songs talked about drugs in a metaphorical type of way. But I think it is also about a girl.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
