So here we stay in this "paradise" shackled to a jail cell
Looking to the skies to see which form of hatred would prevail
Meanwhile we're stuck in hell...
Dying to make a poet's mistake and bail
Out...i'm leaving with the tigers, i'm not deceiving or strikingly astonishing
At least I show my true colors, the ones I believe in
I don't hide behind a flag falling to the ground because the lack of wind
How can we cure our sins when we don't know where to begin?
Politics has become more along the lines of x-rated propaganda
X...not meaning anything near exquisite
All they did was put together a story for you...
At least i don't fake it, i'll tell you the truth...

Yeah, I'm not going to lie to you anymore
I'm not deceiving when I speak of sabotage
But since we all stand divided...
Tell me...
What color is your camouflage?

All they ever did was pick apart the day and put the pieces back together their way
Socialism died in the days of the past, up in flames...
..and yet they still try to make us breathe on the fumes alone
Where are we going in this pretensive nature? Freedom? What's that?
A right to choose, a right to lose your life to governmental abuse
Yes, i know the truth but what's the use?
You won't be laughing when the guns point our way...
And watch all the people sway...
We've been had by the past and that's all i can say

Yeah, I'm not going to lie to you anymore
I'm not deceiving when I speak of sabotage
But since we all stand divided...
Tell me...
What color is your camouflage?

The phone rings, you drop your cigarette and walk to the voicebox
Life is a countdown like the one on your wristwatch
Tick tock, drop the knife, grab the gun, steal your life, have some fun
and blow away sensitivity...
as it echoes like the broken hearts of a thousand independant beings
when will we solve this mistake and finally yield...
When the devil is scraping frost off his windshield.

Since you hide your colors, then i'll tell you mine..
It's black so i can blend in with everyone in this line

Load it.
Shoot it.
Divided.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
