Wipe That Smile Off Your Face Lyrics
It's just the two of us, a silver cross
And some strength that you won't believe
You see I'm not your friend, and I won't pretend
That I've come here for peace
Well I'm not afraid, I'm gonna make you pay
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And this is war, now
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
The time has come, to drop the bomb
On all the pain you've been selling
You see I don't like you, or your attitude
Or the company that you keep
And this is war, now
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And this is war, now
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
It's just the two of us, a silver cross
And some strength that you won't believe
Well I'm not afraid, I'm gonna make you pay
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And this is war, now
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And this is war, now
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And wipe that smile, wipe that smile
Wipe that smile off your face
And wipe that smile, wipe that smile
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And some strength that you won't believe
You see I'm not your friend, and I won't pretend
That I've come here for peace
Well I'm not afraid, I'm gonna make you pay
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
On all the pain you've been selling
You see I don't like you, or your attitude
Or the company that you keep
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And this is war, now
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And some strength that you won't believe
Well I'm not afraid, I'm gonna make you pay
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
And this is war, now
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face
Wipe that smile off your face
And wipe that smile, wipe that smile
I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face

Sheer Brilliance
This song is one of the best OLP song's I've ever heard. I know what the song is actually about, but to me, it's about getting dumped by a loved one, the loved one did something to hurt you which was very wrong, such as cheating etc. And this song is about showing them that you can go on without them, you can survive.
I can't wait for their new CD. I think it's gonna be their best effort (Both musically and sales wise as well).
I don't know....Gravity was a major letdown to all us hardcore OLP fans....I mean, it was great yes, but still. The other albums were way better. They are becoming too mainstream. Not Afraid live is so much better than the album version...so yeah. Hopefully it will be good.
Gravity was not a letdown to ALL of the hardcore fans. Most fans seems to love Gravity.
Not Afraid will not be on the album probably. Neither will Wipe that Smile off your face.
I like the new sound that's gonna be on the upcoming CD, with Vampires, Don't Ask Why, and the song off their Holiday Greeting. Picture is supposed to be a great song as well.
Actually, all the OLP fans I know which I know loved OLP since the early days, thought that Gravity was crap.
And Not Afraid is on the new CD, they have the CD version of it.
Where did you here Dont Ask Why?
Don't Ask Why was the first song on the greeting on Ourladypeace.net last christmas (2003). They also play it live.
On the new greeting, it shows a list of songs, about 20 of them), 12 or so are listed under "ALBUM". Not Afraid is not listed there.
Why the hell would they make a studio version for it then? That's quite stupid.
Hmm so I must listen to Don't Ask Why! DAMNIT! Anyways, can't wait for the album
They made a studio version because it was included on some CDs that came if you got a Labatts Blue in Canada, or something like that.
oh fair enough!
Apperantly the song Picture by them, is a mixture of Thief and 4AM and is bloody brilliant. And that;s coming from reliable sources :) I can't wait! I'm destined to love this band forever.
Hey, go to Spiritualmachines.net and they have 4 new clips of songs including Don't Ask Why, which is now labeled "Will the future blame us". It's not as pianoey as I thought it would be but I still like it.
A lot of people do not have faith in their new CD, but they're all basing it on a few clips, some of which may not even be their best songs. I bet they haven't released a clip of a single yet.
