This song blows my head apart for some reason. I think it may be a break-up song, but I'm not sure, it probably isn't. I like to think of it that way.
all my dreams involving aliens also involve the line "note to invading aliens, avoid this town like this town avoided us" no clue what this song is about.
A lot of their songs make no sense, but one thing is for certain-this song gets stuck in your head really easily and is hard to get out.
i heard (yes, that old chestnut!) that the "our old singer is a sex criminal" bit is a dig at their former drummer...

1st verse - said "sex criminal" being a bit of a pretensious dick

Yes, but sex criminal is clearly better. You can't say sex criminal in things on the radio and TV I guess.

These lyrics agree with the booklet. And maybe they went with 'singer' just to be coy for once.
It's also EX Criminal on the single.
I remember an interview with Falco where he talked about the type of artists that need to feel miserable to be inspired and how he's not really one of them. In the same conversation he mentioned this song and how guys would warn eachother that this woman would only bring them happiness, as if it were a bad thing.
