White Poem I Lyrics

I ... I feel so blue ...
I ... I feel so blue... in this white poem.
I feel so blue.
I feel so blue... in this white poem.
I... Tell me why, tell me why, tell me why, the wind is so cold. Take my heart.
Make things right.
Love ... love will find a way.
This is the line you used to love.
This is the line you used to love.

I ... I feel so blue...
Tell me why, tell me why, tell me why, I feel so blue ...
Tell me why, tell me why I love you.
My love for you would break my heart.
No no no ...
No way to change my heart
I still wanna be in this endless blue verse...
This is the line you used to love ...
love will find a way.
This is the line you used to love.
Do you still believe that?
While I'm away... Read this line again.

This song is so underappreciated. Yoshiki essentially wrote and performed the entirety of this piece himself; if you took Toshi's vocals away, it could just be HIS song. Guitar, programming, piano, bass, the voice-over... everything is Yoshiki bared and beautiful. This song is like petals drifting down to fall upon still waters, creating ripples that are so subtle that the listener barely realizes they are there. Gorgeous, and unexpectedly sexy, I just love this song.

HELL YEAH it's underappreciated. X JAPAN is underappreciated. But besides that, the song is ethereal. So confused, yet so sure of itself. Not only does it, in a way, bring to mind traditional ageless Jap poems, it also brings the sentiments alive in a way plain poetry never could. By the time it's over, you don't know what's hit you.

Absolutely adore the live version from 1996, but still a great track nonetheless.
