I've noticed that Megadeth basses alot of their songs on human hatred, specifically war. This song simply states that Mankind has been tied to violence long before the tyrannts that we have come to know today i.e: Hitler, Bin Laden, etc.
They take it even farther by linking the future to being the repetition of the past, indicating that war will never end while mankind still exist.
This song is ok for the start bit but gee the ending is FREAKIN SPECTACULAR, the fast megadeth we no and love

awesome song, The System Has Failed has to be my fav cd from them other than United Abominations
In my opinion this song is about the human condition and how there will never be peace because since the start of time their has been hatred and murder even when life was at it's most basic element. Honestly this is one of Megadeth's most powerful songs and such an accurate view of mankind, Dave Mustaine is one of the very few people in this world that has a very amazing perspective on life.
