Gliding through my wasted life
With ants on endless escalators
Mystery rash and no job
Absent muse, oh how I hate her
Could it be this stagnancy
Was laced in all the lies they fed me?
Drown them out with song and friend
And drink, ingest this cider rye

Spit it from your mouth like a foreign object
Sing it to the world like a drunken prophet
Spit it from your mouth like a foreign object
Why do you ingest this?
[2x]

No more scanning skin for bumps
I don't know Braille
Nor do I need the answers
All that I am suffering from
Is urban fucking cancer
Out into the car
I will be eaten by the
Glowing embers
Search for love
The love I lack
I want my blood, I want it back

Spit it from your mouth like a foreign object
Sing it to the world like a drunken prophet
Spit it from your mouth like a foreign object
Why do you ingest this?
[2x]

We will erase all life on Earth but us
We will erase all life on Earth but us
So boo, don't front like you've not heard of us
We will erase all life on Earth but us
We will erase all life on Earth but us
We will destroy the bees to birds and us
We will erase all life on Earth but us

well this is my take on the song-and the lyrics posted are wrong-This song is sort of an encouragement song if u will for kids who are in bands or are into any type of music-He says spit it from ur mouth like a foreign object, sing it to the world like a drunken prophet- This means very bluntly...go out, play shows, and do what u love if it's playing music...then he says why do u ingest this meaning- kids sort of eat up everything artists say and look so deep into every word- The part with the mystery rash and no job and the no more scanning skin for bumps is a metaphor for how a girl can "fuck" you over without really fucking you literally.

This is a tough one. I think its about wanting to find a girl, but the advice people give him is a crock of shit. So he gets pissed and wants to ignore everything, except him and the chick, and letting her know thats all he cares about, not what anyone else might say.

Kick ass song. Lotta angst, which is what I like about it. Like an angry love tune.

After Max is done being a lunatic, I need more new Say Anything.

    couple corrections:

so you don't front should be "so boo don't front" we will destroy the bees, the birds, but us should be "we will destroy the beasts that burden us"

i'm pretty sure this one isn't about girls, sorry. I think it's about how we (humans) are destroying the world for our need for urban comfort (A/C, entertainment). Looks like Max is saying we're gonna destroy all other species. Go read "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn. I believe Max read it and this song is his comment on it.

this isnt a song about unrequited love or anything like that, i think its about his angst at society being devoid of love and humanity. hes using his music to say he's not just some corporate robot or number in society. also that humans are selfish in destroying ourselves and our environment for personal comforts. i love it.

I agree that it's about the void that society has become. He's swallowed all that's been told to him, aka "you'll find love, you'll find a job, et cetera," but all it's gotten him is a rash, unemployed, and "gliding through" a wasted life. However, he wants to find a true love and start life over again, begin anew.

I think the lyrics are: "drown them out with song and friend" and "no more scanning skin for bumps" and I agree with tjwells

I'm split. I think it would make sense, typically, that this is another song about a girl. And Bemisthepenis makes some good references, but at the same time I want to agree with those referencing Ishmael and human's industrial civilization destroying life on earth as we know it.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
