Yeah. Though I've sometimes wondered if the last bit of the first verse with "waiting on the sun" might be about waiting for the night time when they could play shows and hang out in the scene. Love was definitely a band for whom the night time was the right time.

I think Plastic Nancy is used in place of joan doe, but she is a more upper class "plastic" person. the name Nancy is just used to match fancy really.
