From Now To Never Lyrics

So don't forget
In these times try to remember
The time will come
To use your voice and push your views
So don't forget
Sometime between now and never
The time will come
You bite your tongue, they'll bury you
And it seems far enough away

It's a calling card, your expiration date
When that day comes
Be ready
To remember what happened
And have the pride to back down
Let's not repeat and everyone can move on
But don't forget
Get ready
To remember what happened
And have the pride to back down

Scars are for a reason
Remind us of what happened
Stay away from harm
Be ready
We're tired of fiction
And occupied stations
Your motives look like
A portrait wealthy, Burning Wells
Get ready
We're tired of fiction
And occupied stations

So don't forget
The time will come

And I'm not sure
What you'll be like

What will eyes say when I see them
Wonder what you'll grow up to see

If we have torn the map to pieces, you'll find your way home
Cause home is where you believe

This song is amazing. Can anyone translate the French words at the end of this song? I've been dying to know what this woman is saying for years.

i think its about being prepared for the opportune moment and not letting complacency seap in. thats the impression the "occupied station" thing gave me.... i dont know why anyone would blah blah blah or short change this song...its so great...so dynamic and lastly so mellow its as if he's trying to convey a sense of urgency and then lull you out of it to simply prove a point.

In my opinion this song is about somebody being strong enough to go off and do what they want to do, for example, being with somebody your parents don't approve of. To me "the time will come to use your voice and push your views" means that you need to speak up for yourself. "you bite your tongue, they'll bury you" means that if you don't keep pushing, they simply won't understand. The second verse could be a reminder to still be polite rather than obnoxious, and to respect your parents opinions. "Scars are for a reason" could easily mean, don't make the same mistake twice, and make sure the person is worth fighting for. The last 5 beautiful minutes could be somebody elses point of view. Like a parent who's saying "it's okay that you're doing what you're doing. I might not have the same opinions as you, but I still respect you, and I'm curious to see where this path will take you". "home is where you believe" might be the parent saying "no matter what, you'll always be welcome here" I still can't quite explain fully what these lyrics mean to me, but I'm probably way off from the actual meaning.

This song comes as really political in nature. Push your views. Occupied stations are the current leadership. Burning wells are the oil wells in Iraq and Kuwait that have been on fire since the gulf war. Tired of fiction? The lies that the government has been telling us since President Bush has been in Office. This song is about looking at the world and being dissatisfied. It says that we all have the opportunity to change the world and we better take that opportunity because we only live once.

I love this song. I wish Sparta came back, I truly love them. I will check around, see if I can find something about that French part.
