Everything About You Lyrics
VERSE 1
Be my light in this darkened room
I’m on my face and I’m calling You
I can’t fathom all You’ve done for me
Every time it finds me on my knees
Like sunlight in the winter cold
CHORUS:
Everything about You,
It takes my breath away
Hallelujah
I tried this once without You
And it was my great mistake
Hallelujah
VERSE 2
Questions fade when You invade
You chase all of my fears away
With Your love in my atmosphere
All confusion disappears
And nothing but Your truth remains
CHORUS
BRIDGE
Questions fade, You remain
You are color on a page of white,
Bright like eyes beneath black lights
Like a glowing city on the plains,
You call my name
CHORUS
Hallelujah...
Be my light in this darkened room
I’m on my face and I’m calling You
I can’t fathom all You’ve done for me
Every time it finds me on my knees
Like sunlight in the winter cold
Everything about You,
It takes my breath away
Hallelujah
I tried this once without You
And it was my great mistake
Hallelujah
Questions fade when You invade
You chase all of my fears away
With Your love in my atmosphere
All confusion disappears
And nothing but Your truth remains
Questions fade, You remain
You are color on a page of white,
Bright like eyes beneath black lights
Like a glowing city on the plains,
You call my name

This song is fearly self explanitory.
GODS GRACE, LOVE, EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM
Its about our need for god and haw we can try and try without him but we realy do require gods peace, grace, strenght etc
this song busts it out in da bridge, i love dat - serious energy. Yea i think this song is like, another attempt at explaining wat god means to us, i have to say attempt because when it comes to god, it seems there are never enough words to do him justice. sanctus real did really well fitting god into 4 minutes of song...
this is song is soooo pretty and inspirering!! its one of my favorites.
very beautiful song. I think it has more than just religious meaning... I mean, it's how you look at it. I don't see this guy calling god, but if you'd like to look at it in a religious sense, it's him praying.
For me, this song is about finding the one person that saved me. The person that made me feel like... me. Probably cheesy, but basically finding that person who completed me.
I love this song, so awesome. Best of Sanctus Real that I've heard so far.
It's for sure about God. Considering that they're a Christian band, and the line "I can’t fathom all You’ve done for me" is definitely a strong Christian idea, along with saying "Hallelujah", it's quite unquestionable that it's about God.
Andew is correct, and the most direct indication that Sanctus Real is speaking to God, the God of the Bible, is in the word "Hallelujah." That is an ancient word that the Hebrew children would have used even thousands of years ago, and means "Praise [you] the LORD," the "God" part being in "Jah" like "Eli-jah" ("The LORD is God") or "Jah-ovah".
This is a wonderful song. I just heard it in an unplugged version, and it's still great. Praise the LORD, indeed.
