Dirty Little Thing Lyrics
Can't stop thinkin musta been trippin this evening
My mind is racing demons and all of my feelings are numb
Yeah and when I roll with my head in the wind
And I feel like the king of the
Dead men wishin they had gotten together with you girl
But you're a dirty little liar with a message of obsession to come
You got your head in the clouds and your world's upside down
Get away from the life you're living
Get away from the man that's stealing your life
Get away from the drugs you're taking
Get away from the film of sex in your life
Can't stop drinking I'm cold kicking and bleeding
The wine is numbing feelings and all of my memories are gone
My mind is racing demons and all of my feelings are numb
And I feel like the king of the
Dead men wishin they had gotten together with you girl
But you're a dirty little liar with a message of obsession to come
Get away from the life you're living
Get away from the man that's stealing your life
Get away from the drugs you're taking
Get away from the film of sex in your life
The wine is numbing feelings and all of my memories are gone

I think he was probably joking, but you never know... This album seems too personal and serious for Scott for them to write about Paris though.
I thought that it was about your cliched 'rock chick' who sleeps with the musicians and does the drugs etc. and this guy is kinda feeling bad cos hes realised that she is better than that and he wants to help her but can't. butttttt.... thats just me :)
@dirtywings The early GnR ‘groupies’ were Strippers. I suspect it’s a shoutout to them. PS Is Pam Anderson in the video?!

Ummm no offence aicdirt27 and TREXOR but if you have nothing better to do with your time than look up the songs you don't like and bitch about them on the internet than you must have pretty sad lives. And musically you don't know what your talking about velvet revolver kicks arse combine one of the greatest guitarists of all time and scott weiland and what could go wrong. GO GET LIVES
Even if it is about Paris Hilton, it applies to much more than her.
i actually saw VR in concert back in may with hoobastank and they are definatly gonna become sumthing big...even tho scott was totally great with stp-stone temple pilots...VR is kick ass too love em both! and slash was fawkin awesome on guitar!!!
yeah i am a little obsessed but what the hell do u expect...im a punk man. musice is my life. it makes it hard not to be obsessed when your cousin tours around with green day, tool, and the foo fighters and party's with vr. and they do hav talent or they wouldnt hav gotten a Grammy or hav sold millions of cd's. so my friend...your in the minority.
OK hold on! for everybody who "thinks" scott weilend was taken from stp just because hes a great front man, u r all wrong. I read a Rolling stone magazine article telling how they got together... The members of GNR and Duff played at a gig and their front man for the night, was going to be weilend. After that they immediately thought it was a great setup. And for those of you who think weilend "shouts" through all the VR songs, listen to Loving the Alien or Gravedancer. As a matter of fact, go listen to the whole librertad album and tell me they suck. Libertad is the best album i have ever listened to.
@velvet revolver Scott and Duff also went to the same gym. Both lived in Sherman Oaks.

Duff said this song is about Paris Hilton. I don't know if that was said by a joke, but it makes sense. Drugs, sex, a man thats "stealing your life"... sounds like Miss. Hilton.
It is actually about Paris Hilton. Slash was at a party one night and they were all watching the Paris Hilton video tape and she showed up to the party unanounced. The band was not formed at that point but that is what sparked this song.
i have to agree with aicdirt27 and TREXOR. i went to see them in concert on Friday, my first time seeing Scott not with STP. And i have to say...they sucked. Plain and simple. Maybe it was the venue, but i doubt it. Sadly Scott wasn't even singing but more screaming and yelling which doesn't showcase his beautiful voice. Scott Weiland is and always has been my favorite performer and I have loved so far everything he has done, even his not so well received solo album. But this new band he is in, while not bad, is just not my thing. Okay I guess, but to me STP was already heavy rock, no heavier than my other favorite band Led Zeppelin, but still heavy. But when seeing them in concert (STP that is), it was a great show every time-Scott was enigmatic and the music was fabulous. I feel like STP catered better to his vocals and didn't try to overpower them like VR does. So he ends up having to scream over the guitar riffs to compete. I feel like Slash and Duff got together and formed this band, decided they needed a frontman and said hey let's get Scott Weiland, he's popular and will draw a crowd. It is not his fault, he has a beautiful voice and a great following so who wouldn't want him as their frontman, but I think they focused more on themselves and getting this band to take off than on catering to his vocals which may eventually ruin the following they now have. Didn't mean to piss anybody off, just giving my two cents!!
