i have to agree with aicdirt27 and TREXOR. i went to see them in concert on Friday, my first time seeing Scott not with STP. And i have to say...they sucked. Plain and simple. Maybe it was the venue, but i doubt it. Sadly Scott wasn't even singing but more screaming and yelling which doesn't showcase his beautiful voice. Scott Weiland is and always has been my favorite performer and I have loved so far everything he has done, even his not so well received solo album. But this new band he is in, while not bad, is just not my thing. Okay I guess, but to me STP was already heavy rock, no heavier than my other favorite band Led Zeppelin, but still heavy. But when seeing them in concert (STP that is), it was a great show every time-Scott was enigmatic and the music was fabulous. I feel like STP catered better to his vocals and didn't try to overpower them like VR does. So he ends up having to scream over the guitar riffs to compete. I feel like Slash and Duff got together and formed this band, decided they needed a frontman and said hey let's get Scott Weiland, he's popular and will draw a crowd. It is not his fault, he has a beautiful voice and a great following so who wouldn't want him as their frontman, but I think they focused more on themselves and getting this band to take off than on catering to his vocals which may eventually ruin the following they now have. Didn't mean to piss anybody off, just giving my two cents!!
