hmm no ones commented. it's an awesome song, really one of the only songs i like by TGUK...not tooo sure what it's exactly about though...

I have been listening to this song alot with a friend. We are not sure what it means and are intrigued by the line, "like a man possessed a requiem we're singing."
I absolutely love this song but it wasnt the lyrics that drew me to it at first. It was the sound so powerful and at times you feel possesed by it. When I actually took time to think about the lyrics I understood it to be about someone who is possesed, leading a life that is a lie. He cant stop lying about his feelings trying to be strong but actually being torn up inside even to the point that he is blind to the masquerade himself. So when the last part says 'I'll try, I'll try' its like as if hes trying to change his ways but he doenst know if he can. 'My life for worse or better am just craving for a cure'
This song describes a little of my uncle's life. He was like possessed for years. Being myself a Christian, it was painful to see him suffer. There was a fight going on within. I tried to reach out to him, but what was around him, or inside, got him disturbed and he couldn't bear being around me. There was everything to keep me away from him, because these things that possessed him didn't want to leave him. They knew well I was able to help him. He's come out of it now, but it's been a hell of a battle! It's good...

this scene plays in a season 2 episode of oth and it totally makes sense. this guy's wife has left him adn he's still trying to hold on the the fact that maybe she'll come back and that they were ment to be together, but then when he starts thinkging abotu it all he gets in a car accident. the song really makes the scene

I totally agree with iluvoth. It just makes the scene so much more... powerful. I love One Tree Hill music as well! I would also recommend Overdue by TGUK. It played twice on OTH, but you probably already knew that! :)
