First of all I want to thank BeA for the translation of the song and binni for the translation of the title!! Thank you! I looked on the official site and couldn't find a translation! Wow the lyrics are so beautiful... My favorite line is "My Lord, to you, let me become what my child thinks I am ". I don't know why it's just gorgeous and the way Tarja sings is so heartfelt.
Taiteilija usually means painter, sculptor, or something like that, not singer. It can be said that a singer is taitelija, but that's uncommon.
this is one of my 3 favorite songs. EVER. wen i first heard it, i fell in love. and im still in luv with it. i cant make sense of those english translations at all, so im just gonna let u all decide its meaning.
This song really makes me wanna learn Finnish. Such a beautiful language.
