The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
I love this song. The whole Fading Days [EP] is the best. Anyways, this song is pretty simple to explain. It seems to be about a relationship that went wrong and how he will never forget her, (I'll hold a place for you and I, inside my heart for you and I). And how we wants to remember all the good times that they had, instead of the bad times. Also it can be about him going away and not wanting to, (I'll keep my heart with yours, for every minute I am gone).
This band is gonna be HUGE! In a year or so someones going to see this comment and chuckle that I am indeed correst and Amber Pacific has at least a gold album.
Yeah, Amber Pacific definitely has the makings to be a big band- real soon. Hopefully a lot of other people will discover them on the warped tour 2004 cd like I did, 'Thoughts Before Me' was on there and I loved it so much I went on to CDNow, looked up their cd and was just gonna play every sample once to see what they were like and I listened to them all like 10 times in a row, and that's just the sample, I'm gonna go out and buy this awesome EP
I first heard this song on Hopelessly Devoted to You vol. 5, and quickly realized how much AP rocks. So I tried to find what CD it came from, only to find that they've only released an EP at the time =(. Unfortunately, these guys are signed with Hopeless Records, who have had a somewhat spotty history. So, lets just hope that AP prevails! If you like this song, 'Leaving What You Wanted' is also great... and oh yeah, the line "and I can't sleep without you" reminds me of the way I kept a picture of my gf under my pillow a long, long time ago, so she was always with me.
yeah, I found out who Amber Pacific was on the Hopelessly Devoted to You vol. 5 cd... I thought they were sweet. So I mentioned them to a friend, only to find out she had their EP. So now we like love them, and I can't wait until their cd comes out. <3

Amber pacific is formerly Follow Through. I have their old cd. it's kind of funny and cool at the same time to see how far they have come. i'm happy for them for making it on to the warped tour set list.
