Channel For The Pain Lyrics

I live all alone, I wonder why?
I live all alone, I wonder why?

See me shaking never making
All my life and there is no other way
'Til I'm old enough and hit the ground

Never choose, because I'm here just to lose,
Besides a win would just release,
And just maybe solve my minor problems

Don't wanna seek, I won't make a demand,
'Cause I'm taking all the things
That prevent me from knowing the truth
Don't wanna seek, I won't make a demand,
'Cause although my mind is breaking
My existence makes a channel for the pain

I live all alone, I wonder why?
I live all alone, I wonder why?

See me taking never giving all my life
And there is no other way
'Till I'm old enough and hit the ground
I only lose 'cause I never did choose and all the loneliness
That's there is just the core of all my problems

Don't wanna seek, I won't make a demand,
'Cause I'm taking all the things
That prevent me from knowing the truth
Don't wanna seek, I won't make a demand,
'Cause although my mind is breaking
My existence makes a channel for the pain

This must be Paradise Losts best song, I've yet to hear a song to top it by other bands in this genre...this song rocks

yeah this song is totaly cool.. the meaning of this song to me is: this person is feeling pain, a lots of it, but he likes it and don't want to stop it. He has no will to live anymore, so he chooses to feel pain instead of trying to stop it

Not one of their best, but it's pretty good. Nick's basically saying there is no release til you die.

For me it's one of their very best, but it's impossible to choose one best anyway, it depends how you feel at the moment. Obviously, a song about loneliness, probably Nick's "favorite" topic, for some reason known by himself only (he-he), but this song in particular evokes me Travis Bickle' state of mind, in the movie "Taxi Driver".
