What's Another Day

i think she loves the guy more than the guy loves her. she includes him in her future, her dreams. and yet the guy keeps on taking her forgranted. now she's insecure and she's afraid that one of these days he'll pack up and leave her and her dreams.

I agree with charmagne05 but I also think that it's about not rushing into things. Like the guy's all for not rushing but she wants more. He wants to explore what could grow from them being together...like if they can get along for long periods of time without things getting old ("concrete colored buildings all grow stale"). He wants to know that they are compatible with each other before someone gets hurt.

its about someone you want more from because you feel so comfortable with them. they don't want it to be so intense, they just want to be friends or they don't want labels there.

my favorite line of this song is "I know better than to include the both of us". that part hits home the hardest for me. i could be way off from what she meant, but to me it's about this guy who doesn't necessarily want to be labeled 'together' with her. he may have feelings for her, but he's just one of those guys who isn't really the serious relationship type. so when she says 'i know better than to include the both of us' she realizes that there isn't really an 'US' with them...he doesn't take this whole thing as seriously as she does. and i know we can all relate to that.

First I didn't really get this song. But after listening it over and over again, I have to agree with you all. It's about her seeing a future with this guy, and to him it's just like an average love. He doesn't take it as seriously as she does. There's just one line I still don't get. 'Concrete coloured buildings all grow stale' Does someone know what's meant by that?

And wow, I feel like maybe I'm way off because everybody got the same gist from the song but I had this whole different idea in my head. For me, it is the both of them that, maybe, fears, heading into this relationship, or further into anything at all. Because she talks about her fear of reaction and her absence. But it's true that I feel like maybe it's not so much of a fear for him, whoever she's singing about, but more like an uncertainty, and maybe he takes it far less seriously than she does. But I think that's just boys. And yet, they are still going through it day by day and they're growing together, because while she's anxious about things, what's another day? And why be ordinary, because it just grows stale, I think that's what that line about concrete-coloured buildings mean, and I think it's him talking about the relationship. Like they should be great, could be great, but they'll have to see. And I think the biggest difference of my interpretation from the rest is that there is that mutual agreement. They both think, well, yes, what's another day.
