Wasted Sacrifice Lyrics
Trading life for life, it all must fall.
It must end with us, it must end with me.
Insinuations of what might be.
Fight through deprivation, there wil be no sleep.
Heed my cry.
Because of greed and hatred, to dust we return.
They will see strength in our numbers.
Only then will the self-righteous learn.
To the masses we mean nothing.
But it starts in the hearts of the few.
Witness the birth of a people.
Unite, renew.
There is no forever, just today.
Don't let your sacrifice waste away.
Through change and purity, turn the shadows to light.
Buried beneath the ashes is a passion for life.
Let there be no more of this bloodshed.
It must end with us, it must end with me.
Insinuations of what might be.
Fight through deprivation, there wil be no sleep.
Heed my cry.
They will see strength in our numbers.
Only then will the self-righteous learn.
But it starts in the hearts of the few.
Witness the birth of a people.
Unite, renew.
Don't let your sacrifice waste away.
Buried beneath the ashes is a passion for life.

Oh man, words cannot describe how fucking awesome this album is. (im glad (shevanel) added the lyrics, cause I was too lazy).
I think this song is about how biding your time is pointless, because while you are waiting for someone else to stand up for your cause, you are letting shit get even worse, because you lacked the self belief to make a stand for your self.
"To the masses we mean nothing. But it starts in the hearts of the few." I seriously think that is one of the best lines ever. History is replete with people who have stood against the masses, and made a differance, Martin Luther King and Emilano Zapatta were both revolutinaries, in their own way.
Killswitch is easily my favorite band, their perfect blend of brutality with awesome choruses makes for an awesome sound. I interpreted this song to be an antiwar protest "trading life for life". Adam is an insanely awesome music writer and just straight up kicks ass. ROCK ON!
we've gone through many wars to make the world what it is today and many people let the great sacrifices that these people made go to waste and when we do that, we only go to war again, this song is about not letting that sacrifice be wasted.
"Through change and purity, turn the shadows to light. Buried beneath the ashes in a passion for life. Let there be no more of this bloodshed." The fires that burn the cities turn to ashes..and beneath these cities are a passion for life..in all of us, but we might not have known it was there...awesome song. I guess it could be an anti-war song and it is definitly awesome..go KsE!
I agree with all above and cant say much else
this song is incredible, and KsE is incredible, they can scream but have excellent singing voices when they chose to use them, a great combination in my opinion
is killswitch engage christian
i honestly think this song is about how retarded humans have become as a species. all anyone cares about is themselves. people are selfish dicks. also, people killing themselves and others, and all the greed and hatred in this world needs to end. that is not what is important. i also think the title may have something to do with jesus. and how he sacrificed his life for us and to forgive us for our sins. it was sort of a waste, because people dont stop to think that we are killing ourselves, and we are not living how god wants us to. jesus died for US, and we repay him by being hateful and greedy and killing eachother. its not right. but anyways killswitch engage rocks and i hope they dont break up.
BURN91, The original vocalist, Jesse, was a Christian, but as far as I know, Howard isn't.
guiffpron, if Howard isn't Christian, why did he sing back up on a Demon Hunter song?
i think howard is because he believes in after life as he mentioned in rose of sharyn , 'it wont be long we ll meet again'
he has faith in god, doesnt matter if hes christan
Uber, The Agony Scene's vocalists guested on the Demon Hunter song Beheaded. The Agony Scene =/= Christian.
Also, yes it does matter if he's Christian or not; however, this is not the place to discuss religion, nor do I feel like it anyways.
