I got this album on the 10th, when it came out and I haven't stopped listening to it.
I think this song is talking about how self preservation will ultimately lead to your own downfall, and so the only way to survive is to accept that you are not perfect and to stop pretending that you are.
saw killswitch on the jagermeister tour with slayer and mastodon. awesome show. they opened with this song and it was pretty incredible. they played a lot of new stuff, but closed with my last serenade. amazing.
i just fucking saw killswitch on jagermeister tour...THEY.ARE.BAD-FUCKIN-ASS...i am in love with killswitch and they fucking throw it down on stage..even though they only had a 45 min. set..this song, rose of sharyn, THE END OF HEARTACHE. and my last serenade....i love killswitch...they are definatly one of a kind and incredible with what they do.

KsE is a really raw form of metal in my opinion they always seem to go over the top with amazing combinations of singing and screaming on this cd

I love the screaming in this song, over-the-top vocals by Howard Jones...fucking crazy ass motherfucker!!! I loved Jessie but this dude knows how to throw it down also..I can't wait to see them in Ozzfest this year...
i didnt really like KSE so much when i first heard them... they just didnt seem so appealing or w/e... that changed the night i saw them on tour...i ran out and got the cd the very next day and havent stopped listening to it since... A Bid Farewell is most definately my favorite on the album... its badass... cant get enough of it...as far as their other albums go ive heard a little of them but havent gotten around to buying them... i should tho
