It all starts here with my disgrace
I give you my life then I run in haste
In this false life something needs to give
Tell me a reason why this isn't treason
Tell me, tell me I'm wrong
I swear I'm back but then it turns out it's only a season
So tell me, tell me I'm wrong
With my two lips I will praise your name
Then I turn around and only curse and blame
I give in, strength is thin, adding to my shame
Tell me a reason why this isn't treason
Tell me, tell me I'm wrong
I swear I'm back but then it turns out it's only a season
So tell me, tell me I'm wrong
Your blood it covered all my sin
You changed a traitor into kin
In this false life something needs to give
Tell me a reason why this isn't treason
Tell me, tell me I'm wrong
I swear I'm back but then it turns out it's only a season
So tell me, tell me I'm wrong.
I give you my life then I run in haste
In this false life something needs to give
Tell me, tell me I'm wrong
I swear I'm back but then it turns out it's only a season
So tell me, tell me I'm wrong
Then I turn around and only curse and blame
I give in, strength is thin, adding to my shame
Tell me, tell me I'm wrong
I swear I'm back but then it turns out it's only a season
So tell me, tell me I'm wrong
You changed a traitor into kin
In this false life something needs to give
Tell me, tell me I'm wrong
I swear I'm back but then it turns out it's only a season
So tell me, tell me I'm wrong.

Hmmm...no one's commented on this song yet. The Treason to which the song refers is that we will praise God and be good one moment and then before you know it, we are doing wrong. This song teaches us two things: God's grace is sufficient for thee, and no matter what you do, any attempt on your part to "make right" with God will ultimately fail because the only way to make right with God was made right through Christ. So take that Way and remember that when Jesus died, He died for ALL sin, including yesterday's, today's and tomorrow's. Good song that makes you think
This song really got to me the first time I heard it and I never really got it out of my head. I feel like this song is talking about how we keep trying to do the right thing, but we can't, as sinners. It tells us how amazing the grace of Christ is that it doesn't depend on us.

everyone else has pretty much hit the nail on the head, it's about livin the double lifestyle. sundays and wednesday nights u act right go to chruch, talk right in front of the right ppl but then we head back into the world and head right back to the way the world tells us to b. propertyofjesus sed it awesome, it shows the amazing grace of God, it doesn't matter wut we do he's always there with open arms
This song really speaks to me about what it was like when I finally came to see the real world. I grew up in a sheltered christian home, my dad was a pastor and my mom was a counseler. I became saved when I was 13, but even before that I was taught to be respectful and do the right thing. Then, as I got to know more of the kids in church, I was absolutely disgusted by how they acted. This song kinda hits how I felt then when I saw my friends as they really were.
