1970 Lyrics

And all the people are afraid
Cause Ali's got a punch they say
That'll knock you down, knock you down
Sly's got a family stone *
And all the cats groove along
To the melody, to the funky beat
And while they don't remember
Well it's always clear
In their 1970 box of dreams
They're crashing cars and calling out the crazies
To set them free
In their 1970 cruising speed
Defying what they're told and being bold
But they don't know...they don't know
That all the world can be a stage
Knieval had an evil day and we all danced on, yeah we all danced on to
The kids spinning drum and bass
And best of all it gave them faith in curiosity
To find destiny
In something they've forgotten
If they'd only steal from their 1970 box of dreams
They're crashing cars and calling out the crazies
To set them free
In their 1970 cruising speed
Defying what they're told and being bold
But they don't know...they don't know
And all the people are afraid
Cause Ali's got a punch they say
That knocks you down, it knocks you down
Sly's got a family stone
And all the cat's groove along
To the melody, to the funky beat
And while they don't remember
Well it's all too clear
In their 1970 box of dreams
They're crashing cars and calling out the crazies
To set them free
In their 1970 cruising speed
Defying what they're told and being bold
But they don't know...
And all the kids groove along
And all the kids groove along *(Sly's stone, super groupe black U.S de 'époque...)

I am most likely wrong, seems like he is singing about just a point in the 1970's when Muhammad Ali was at his highest point, he was breaking down racial barriers by being allowed to box in Georgia. It seems like his high point was in the early 1970's. I think this song is simply a nostalgic look on how different the world was back in the day and how there were so much less worries.
