this was about the time he met his first boyfriend, Brad Branson, so think it was the first time he slept with him.
This song is not about Brad Branson. Per the Wham! documentary on Netflix and George himself its about the first guy he slept with. Not had sex with as he was afraid to go that far. But he did want to sleep in the same bed with him and be close to him. This was in 1983 I think. Maybe '82. So, well before he ever met Branson.
