Peacemaker Lyrics
You've got the wings of the fallen angel
You offer peace if they praise your name
You live your life taking everything you can get
Look out, time to fly
Life on the street is gamble with your own life
Only two things, you live or you die
Looking for fights, punishing guilty ones
You're playing Judge Dredd all the time
Always trying to make things right
Sometimes problems just multiply
He's peacemaker on scene of crime
Bad guys win, though it won't seem right
Eating hot-dog on the corner on main and some street
You are a disciple of your own gun
No one to talk, you say, I am the only one
In the dark I wonder, I won't see no sun
It's raining heavily and you don't have a dime
Receive welfare, spend it all at one time
Must have your bullets, using 'em all the time
Yes, I am happy in...
Always trying to make things right
Sometimes problems just multiply
He's peacemaker on scene of crime
Bad guys win, though it won't seem right
You've got your fingers burning
Roll on your gun is turning
You make 'em pray and then you calmly blow them away
Take your troubles to street, no matter who you're gonna meet
'cause ev'rybody knows that he is...
Always trying to make things right
Sometimes problems just multiply
He's peacemaker on scene of crime
Bad guys win, though it won't seem right
You offer peace if they praise your name
You live your life taking everything you can get
Look out, time to fly
Only two things, you live or you die
Looking for fights, punishing guilty ones
You're playing Judge Dredd all the time
Sometimes problems just multiply
He's peacemaker on scene of crime
Bad guys win, though it won't seem right
You are a disciple of your own gun
No one to talk, you say, I am the only one

This song fuckin rock i love it .
I love it too. It can go two ways from what I see. The clear meaning is that its about a vigilante doing their best to fight crime, but ends up making things worse. But, it can have a hidden meaning on how someone could try to make things in their life but because they don't know any better than their "gun" (something that they do know but it doesn't do any good) and just ends up making things worse.
I dunno, I think he's actually making a difference, but the bad guys winning is in reference to the government/ collection agencies making things harder for him as in he doesn't have anywheres to live, never has any money despite all the good he's been doing by making the streets safer.
A great song by Sonata Arctica. The reason being it is easy to understand the meaning because the concept seems to be centered around the vigilante character who takes justice into there own hands. There is one part in the song though that can get ya confused, which would be: "It's raining heavily and you don't have a dime We see welfare, spend it all in one time. must save your bullets, using them all the time Yes, I am happy in..." is it implying that the vigilante is living in poverty or was he planning on shooting those who live on welfare? It sounds to me he spent his last paycheck on bullets and he's saying to himself, "I can waste my bullets on deadbeats I must use them sparingly to exact my revenge." Kind of sounds messed up when you read this verse on it's own. Someone should really clarify this songs meaning in vast detail it would be interesting to know what this verse is trying to imply.
For some reason when I hear this song, I always think of Dirty Harry...I somehow think this song has to do with his movies since he carried a rather large gun, and used it to fight crime, the line "His peacemaker will see no crime."
I don't know why, but it currently has lyrics that are different from those found in the Silence 2008 remastered version. The lyrics below were written in the album booklet, though I changed some "You're" to "He's", because it didn't sound like "You're" at all.
