i think that we are all great full for what the flag once stood for, but its meaning has changed and is being rammed down our throats. we arent supposed to be a bunch of tools for the gov. to exploit, we should have our own thoughts and be able to speak them freely without ridicule. after all we are not flags, we are citizens and should be able to change are country not become its slaves to its idiotic ideas from society. society tells us that we should back the government and its ideas 100% without thought of why we are doing so. society calls it being patriotic, call it being dumbass.

this song is pretty sick, and brave. For them to say this is pretty awesome I'd say! But for me at least, there's some gray area when it comes to the flag. Surely if you're on this page you hate the whole nationalist scene, but the flag doesn't just mean nationalism.
Keep in mind that it's legal to burn the flag here, it's kind of like the government is saying, okay if you want to have your little hate then go for it we won't stop you. that's a freedom we have here.
Also, I have a brother who traveled all over Africa, and he constantly saw American flags and kids with American flags on their t-shirts and there were schools that said they were sponsored by America and stuff like that. Poor countries love the US, because they US does tons of charity, both government and private.
Don't get me wrong, I say screw the flag, but know that it doesn't just mean nationalism.
