Wake Up! Lyrics

If i had a lighter in hands and some oily rags...
is that what it would take to wake you from your sleep?
To wake up from your american dreams to be surrounded in flames!
You got to SCREAM TO MAKE OUR VOICE HEARD!
I WONT STOP SCREAMING TILL MINE IS HEAD!
WAKE UP! Wake Up!
To the world around you Wake Up! Wake Up!
If we blocked the streets everyday.
Face down on the pavement as we lay.
You're angered that you're five minutes late.
But what happens next time when we will stop you all day?
You got to scream to make your voice heard!
I wont stop screaming til mine is heard!
Wake Up! Wake Up!
To the world around you Wake Up! Wake Up!
and it's the same song, sung at the top of our lungs.
SCREAMING FOR FREEDOM AND PLEADING FOR LIBERTY.

This is exactly what Anti-Flag is trying to do, waking people up... and I'm aiding them as best as I can, though that's not much... There's "freedom of opinion", and most people are of the opinion that it's better to remain asleep and not see the shit of the world. Those who don't simply ignore the point, that is.

Wow, first to comment. Hm. When I first got The Terror State and listened to it, this song got my attention more than any other song on the album. The lyrics and #2s vocals...shudders And the drums...jeez. Such an amazing song.
